Players take turns spinning the spinner and then either placing or switching game pieces.
The player's goal is to make a continuous path of their game pieces from their side of
the board to their opponent's side while blocking their opponent from doing the same.
Placing Game Pieces
If the player spins a numeric value (1, 2, or 3), the player has to place that number of game pieces on the board.
Game pieces can be placed on any available square on the board with two important rules:
- There can only be one game piece per square
- Game pieces cannot be placed on the white star "Wild Card" spots.
Switching Game Pieces
If the player spins an "S", the player has to switch one of their game pieces on the board with an opponent's game piece on the board. The player can choose any one of their game pieces and any one of their opponents as long as they are both already on the board. The player simply swaps the game pieces on the two squares involved. If there are no game pieces on the board to switch, the player spins again.
Wild Card Spots
The board has 4 "Wild Card" spots. These are the four white stars on the board. Players cannot place game pieces on these squares. The Wild Card spots act as both players' game piece at the same time. In other words, if a player has a game piece next to the Wild Card spot, they can count that spot as their own as well. If the player's opponent also has a game piece next to the Wild Card spot, that player too can count the spot as their own.
Making Winning Connecting Paths
A winning path is a continuous connection of game pieces that touch either forward, back, left, or right and extend from the player's "side" of the board to their opponent's "side" of the board. Game pieces have to be connected adjacently. Diagonal spaces do not count.
Blocking
Players can block each other's paths to prevent them from forming a connection from one side of the board to the other.
Game Over - Win or Stalemate?
The first player to make a continuous connection of game pieces from their edge of the board to the other, wins!
In the event a player can no longer place a game piece and no one has won yet, the game ends in a stalemate.
